Strengthening Education through Research Act Letter of Support
Rachel Zinn, the Director of Workforce Data Quality Campaign (WDQC), wrote the House Committee on Education and the Workforce to support the Strengthening Education through Research Act (H.R 4366). The bill would amend language that directs the U.S. Department of Education to award grants for state longitudinal data systems (SLDS) to foster the alignment of data across early childhood, K-12, postsecondary and workforce programs. Reliable SLDS data is essential for determining how well education and workforce programs are preparing students to succeed in the labor market. Through the alignment of this data, state’s can identify successful programs or areas in need of reform.
