WDQC Administrative Recommendations
Workforce Data Quality Campaign (WDQC) recommended a list of Executive recommendations to strengthen workforce data. The Obama Administration could pursue the following proposals without the passage of legislation as part of the government-wide review of job training programs. These recommendations — generated with input from workforce professionals, policy experts, researchers and business leaders—are intended to assist in three goals:
· Better measurement of program outcomes to help educators, students, workers and policymakers make smarter choices.
· Align education/training programs with labor market demand.
· Improve matching between jobseekers and open positions.
These recommendations provide the Administration concrete steps to improve data reporting, access and usage in ways that could drive reform and improve outcomes in education, training and workforce programs.
