Mapping Postsecondary and Workforce Information Gaps in State Data Systems
Over the past decade, most states have built State Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) that match data from different sources about individuals over time, allowing stakeholders to see how combinations of courses and programs can help students access credentials, employment, and higher earnings. However, there are still significant gaps in the data. WDQC, in conjunction with the Postsecondary Data Collaborative and the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO), has created an infographic detailing these gaps.
