Business Case for State Data Systems

Friday, January 10, 2014

The Jacob France Institute at University of Baltimore wrote this report, "Toward a Business Case for Sustained Investment in State Longitudinal Integrated Data Systems," under a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The authors assembled a longitudinal data set with information from six education and workforce sources covering up to nearly three decades between 1984 and 2012. The report illustrates what type of analysis is possible with longitudinal data linked across programs, and how it is useful to policymakers, educators and students.
