Improving Programs

Educators at schools, job training programs, adult literacy organizations, and career and technical education programs all want to help students get ready for their next step in life.

There are lots of benchmarks for success, like getting a GED, pursuing a graduate degree, or landing a good-paying job. To find out whether former students are hitting these milestones, some programs spend hours of staff time tracking them down with surveys or phone calls, only to end up with incomplete information.

Systems that link data across multiple programs, and include data over several years, can give educators easier access to reliable information about the long-term group outcomes of their students. This data can help educators adjust and improve their programs.
